AMREF Kenya receives award for Contributions to Maternal Health

On Friday, April 26, 2013, AMREF Kenya received an award for its contribution to improving maternal health (MDG 5) in Kenya.

The award was given by the MDGs Trust Fund, an organization that acknowledges the contribution of NGOs, Development Partner Institutions, Private and Public sectors and individuals in Kenya that have demonstrated outstanding efforts in driving the achievement of the MDGs through their core programmes in partnership with UNDP Kenya, Ministry of State for Planning, National Development and Vision 2030, Synovate and the Government of Finland.

In its third year, the annual Millennium Development Goals Award is as a mechanism for recognizing significant efforts that have been made by different institutions in advancing social change through various innovations in their different capacities hence achieving the MDGs.
