Programme Manager (M&E)

AMREF in West Africa is seeking to fill the post of Programme Manager (Monitoring and Evaluation), based in Dakar, Senegal.

The Programme Manager, under the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator, should be at least a senior health technician or a similar level (BAC +3 years) with an experience of at least 3 years in monitoring and evaluating projects and programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the program coordinator in the planning, monitoring and periodic evaluation of programmes;
  • Coordinate the organisation and implementation of monitoring/ evaluation period specified in the programme;
  • Organise the collection and data management for monitoring and evaluation of program activities and carry out quality control;
  • Carry out periodic updating of data in the intervention areas of the programme (target populations, indicators of the Project)
  • Regularly measure the performance level and identify obstacles in implementing the programme;
  • Provide partners with technical and methodological support necessary for information management, monitoring and evaluation of programme activities;
  • Develop a monthly and quarterly summary of programme activities;
  • Organise the dissemination and sharing of relevant information from monitoring activities, documentation and programme evaluation (results of monitoring activities, documentation and periodic assessment, baseline study, monitoring reports, assessment report)
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with their skills and deemed necessary by the coordinator.

The programme manager must be willing to travel frequently to remote areas of the country and be able to work under difficult conditions.
