AMREF's Corporate Partnerships

AMREF will develop for your company signature-cause partnerships to deliver a wholesome and an all rounded marketing platform for your company. Cause related campaigns can provide a framework to leverage all the assets of the private sector while providing much needed funding to AMREF. Our mission will only become a success once everyone can access quality healthcare immediately the need arises and wherever they are.

Here are some of our signature corporate partnerships:

'Changing Lives'

Changing Lives logo

'Changing Lives'® is a partnership between AMREF, the Rotary club of Nairobi and Kenya Airways. Established in 2008, the initiative is one of AMREF's first corporate partnerships. The initiative has been developed to collect spare change from Kenya Airways customers. The change, once accumulated will be used to fund AMREF's programmes in health care which will in turn change the lives of Africa's disadvantaged communities.

The Kenya Airways cabin crew are the official 'Changing Lives' ambassadors and they inform passengers about the programme and invite them to contribute their spare currency or more while welcoming them to enjoy the flight. The partnership has also developed on flight films and brochures which will give more information to passengers on what the programme has achieved so far and who the respective implementing partners are.

The Kenya Airways cabin crew collect the envelopes and funds which are then donated to AMREF which regularly transfers the funds to programmes that help to bridge the Gap between quality health care and the people.

On behalf of AMREF and the communities we work in: THANK YOU, to all Kenya Airways passengers.

'A Night Under African Stars'
AMREF Golden Anniversary Fundraising Gala Dinner

AMREF and Celtel hosted a glamorous gala event dubbed ‘A night under the African skies’ to celebrate AMREF’s 50th anniversary and raise funds for its programmes.

The dazzling event was held on November 3 2007 at the Karen Blixen Museum Gardens.

It brought together high-profile personalities from corporate, diplomatic, not for profit and media circles and included notable high net worth individuals. The gala was underwritten by Celtel Kenya who agreed to do so exclusively for AMREF.

The funds raised from the event were channelled to AMREF’s programme around Kenya to improve lives of Kenyan communities.
