Our Staff

Flying Doctor Service

AMREF employs highly trained and experienced personnel.

Evacuation requests are assessed by the Aero medical Coordinators who are supervised closely by the Medical Director.

Patients will be accompanied by a flight physician and/or by critical care nurses depending on clinical need.

Our physicians are experienced in emergency medicine, intensive care and anaesthesia. All flight nurses are current in intensive care medicine and certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) and PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support).

All aircrew are fully certified and rated.

AMREF Flying Doctor Service provides opportunities to physicians from around the world to work as volunteers.
