Haba Na Haba Na AMREF

Haba na Haba na AMREF
Haba na haba hujaza kibaba is a Swahili saying that means little by little we will fill the pot. This saying is an apt one for solutions to the health challenges facing Kenya and Africa, but also in describing AMREF’s approach to making lasting change in the health of the people we serve. Step by step, bit by bit, the health and lives of communities in Africa will improve. Haba na Haba na AMREF gives you a chance to change a life here in Kenya by making an affordable donation to our campaign.

"If it wasn't for AMREF, I'm sure my three children would be orphans" - George Olali - Community Health Worker, Kibera

In every place AMREF is working, one vital and key component is the Community Health worker - Every AMREF community health worker is a volunteer chosen by the community for their dedication to the well being of the community. They are then trained by AMREF to promote health and provide basic health services to their community. Each one has a story to tell. Through Haba na Haba na AMREF you get a chance to see some of these selfless community members as they tell their stories, show you what they do and how this is changing their lives and of the communities they live in. These day to day stories will show you how AMREF is touching lives through the community health workers who are making a valuable sacrifice to improve health in their areas. Our campaign also tells you how you can help them by making an affordable donation.

You will probably be surprised when you see how the little amount of money you spare can save somebody’s life where AMREF works in Kenya and across Africa to deliver better health. Haba na Haba na AMREF is a campaign that shows you how a small gift on your part can help provide water for a family, save a child from malaria or even provide vital nutrition for an infant affected by HIV/AIDS.  Everything AMREF does is funded by donations, so please help us to help other people by making a donation of Kshs 480 (about US$6) or whatever you can afford.
