Required Qualifications
Education and knowledge
- Medical Doctor with Masters in Public Health or related field, preferable PhD in Public Health or related field
- Good command of English language. Working knowledge of French is will be an added advantage
- sound IT knowledge, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and statistical applications (SPSS and EPI Info., etc);
Experience
- At least 7 years progressive working experience in the area of HIV/AIDS or TB with international NGOs or UN bodies
- demonstrated capacity to manage a National or Regional Programme which is integrated with reproductive health and/HIV/AIDS;
- extensive experience in strategic planning, programme development including design and proposal writing;

- Ability to work successfully and constructively in a multi-disciplinary team spread out across several countries
- Demonstrable ability to anticipate emerging needs and integrate them speedily into priority setting.
